We’re working with a solar asset owner in the U.S managing hundreds of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects nationwide. They are seeking a Regional Asset Manager to oversee the operational performance of a portfolio of solar assets, ensuring strong production, safety, reliability, and cost-effective operations.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who has come up through the field and understands solar systems beyond the spreadsheet. You'll manage site performance, oversee contractors, conduct site visits, and coordinate remediation projects across a portfolio of operating assets. The ideal candidate combines strong technical solar knowledge with project management, vendor oversight, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities Asset Management & Performance
  • Own operations for a portfolio of 100+ C&I solar projects.
  • Drive maximum controllable weather-adjusted production across the portfolio.
  • Identify underperforming assets and coordinate corrective actions to restore performance.
  • Manage maintenance and remediation spend against budget.
  • Oversee 3–5 major remediation projects annually.
Operations & Safety
  • Maintain OSHA and NFPA
    70E compliance across the portfolio.
  • Promote safe operations and proactively mitigate thermal and electrical risks.
  • Conduct site visits and asset inspections, including reviews of newly acquired projects.
  • Coordinate engineering, contractor, and consultant resources to resolve complex site issues.
  • Manage O&M providers, subcontractors, and service vendors.
  • Hold contractors accountable for quality, responsiveness, safety, and performance.
  • Review preventative maintenance reports, warranty claims, and contractor recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, and site stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong communication and ensure issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands‑on technical experience with C&I solar systems.
  • 2+ years of project management, O&M management, or subcontractor oversight experience.
  • Strong understanding of solar troubleshooting, inverter diagnostics, thermography, insulation resistance testing, and ground fault identification.
  • Ability to read and interpret 3‑line electrical diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA
70E, and solar industry safety practices.
  • Ability to evaluate contractor reports and identify quality, performance, or cost concerns.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce, and collaboration tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and participate in an on‑call rotation.
