Director of Trust Administration
Are you the person other trust officers call when things get complicated, regulations change, or someone asks, “Can we actually do that?” We are seeking a Director of Trust Administration to serve as the senior fiduciary leader for a nationally recognized wealth management platform, providing strategic leadership and oversight for trust administration activities across the organization.
This role is ideal for an accomplished trust executive who enjoys balancing fiduciary excellence, risk management, talent development, and growth strategy—because trust administration is about far more than signatures and annual reviews. You will lead a team of experienced trust professionals, drive consistency across markets, modernize policies and procedures, and ensure the highest standards of service for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and their families.
Working closely with senior leadership, legal, compliance, investment professionals, and relationship managers, you will provide technical expertise and guidance on complex fiduciary matters while helping shape the future direction of the trust business. You will also play a visible role externally, cultivating relationships with centers of influence, supporting business development initiatives, and serving as a thought leader within the industry—yes, people may actually ask you to speak publicly about trusts, and amazingly, they’ll be excited to hear it.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in trust administration, estate planning, private wealth management, or banking, along with deep knowledge of fiduciary law and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. A JD is preferred and an LL.M. in Taxation is certainly appreciated, but practical wisdom and leadership experience carry significant weight. Success in this position requires a strategic mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complexity without losing sight of the client experience.
If you believe strong fiduciary leadership should be proactive, collaborative, and occasionally accompanied by a healthy sense of humor, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
This position offers a highly competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $215,000–$245,000, annual incentive opportunities, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, generous paid time off, professional development resources, and the opportunity to help shape the future of an exceptional trust and wealth management organization.
