Director, Planning

As a Director in Planning at Omnicom Media, you are a proven leader responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and integrated media planning excellence across multiple client portfolios. You will serve as the senior client advisor, guide cross‑functional teams, and champion innovation in media strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving business outcomes, fostering top‑tier client relationships, and elevating the performance of your planning teams.

Planning

Excellence for the Client
  • Set the strategic vision for client portfolios and lead the creation and stewardship of multi‑channel media strategies that drive business results.
  • Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing forward‑thinking counsel and identifying opportunities for partnership and innovation.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of major client presentations, strategic recommendations, and campaign performance analyses.
  • Ensure programs are continuously optimized through robust data analysis, performance monitoring, and proactive recommendations.
  • Advocate for clients within OM, ensuring their objectives are met through integrated strategies and informed investment decisions.
Planning Excellence for the Team
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor planning teams to deliver best‑in‑class work and foster a culture of high performance, growth, and accountability.
  • Promote collaboration by partnering with activation, analytics, creative, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive and impactful plans.
  • Champion operational excellence by optimizing workflow, driving process improvements, and encouraging adoption of OM tools and best practices.
  • Identify, develop, and retain top talent by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and leadership opportunities.
  • Serve as a role model for OM's values and culture, driving cross‑team engagement and innovation.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive media planning experience, with significant leadership and client management responsibilities in an agency environment.
  • Proven success in developing and leading integrated media strategies for complex, high‑value accounts.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and industry planning/analytics tools.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead through change in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and talent development.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $90,000—$215,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in‑office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number of required in‑office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in‑office days based on business needs.
