The GCO Program Lead is accountable for strategic operational planning and clinical operational performance of designated programs. The role leads gCSMs, provides inspirational leadership, facilitates risk and issue management, and delivers mentorship for talent development. The Program Lead partners with other BeOne R&D program leads to drive disease and asset strategy and ensure execution excellence.
Essential Functions- Strategic Leadership & Management
- Build, develop and retain the global team of gCSMs, including hiring, training, mentoring and performance appraisals.
- Oversee delivery and goal achievement of projects within designated program(s), and act as point of escalation for unresolved issues.
- Collaborate with other GCPLs to define and implement cross‑program strategies and establish global standards for goals, performance measures and capability development.
- GCO Representative
- Serve as the clinical operational point of contact and represent the program at Franchise, ERC, DCT and other governance teams.
- Provide clinical operational insight to drive program strategy and ensure execution excellence.
- Lead/participate in KOL engagement activities and act as function spokesperson when needed.
- Program Management
- Evaluate and develop strategic feasibility and budget estimates during early planning and strategy changes.
- Accountable for resource allocation and initiating CST formation; ensure transition of outputs from early planning to the gCSM.
- Create and maintain annual program budget and resource forecasts, and track DCT goals.
- Prepare and review compound‑level documents such as IB, DSUR, and protocol, and ensure timely, quality study planning.
- Conduct regular program review meetings; report status, goals, and operational KPIs; enforce quality KPIs with Compliance support.
- Collaborate with other GCPLs to evaluate and select preferred global vendors and participate in vendor governance meetings.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives in partnership with Franchise Head and GCPLs.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Line managing direct reports.
- Provide line management and mentorship to gCSMs working within the designated program(s).
- Facilitate delivery of performance and development goals for direct reports.
- Other Responsibilities
- Champion a global mindset and approach within Clinical Operations to foster collaboration.
- Provide expert knowledge on execution of clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and ICH/GCP Guidelines.
- Serve as point of escalation for all compound‑related issues.
- Education/
Experience:
Bachelor or higher degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline with 10+ years’ experience in the clinical trial industry. - Experience in both people management and program management preferred.
- Project management exposure across the entire lifecycle of multi‑region/country clinical trials in a fast‑paced global environment.

Travel may be required as per business need.
Salary Range: $ – $ annually. The compensation package may vary by location and includes base salary, annual bonus plan for non‑commercial roles, incentive compensation plan for commercial roles, and discretionary equity awards.
