At John Mini Distinctive Landscapes, we make places beautiful.

For over 50 years, we have been recognized as a leader in indoor and outdoor landscaping, holiday design, and plant care. We design, install, and maintain distinctive landscapes throughout the tri-state area, including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Outdoor Service team in New York City. This role will support our commercial accounts throughout Brooklyn and Queens and is a great opportunity for a leader who wants to make a meaningful impact in the green industry.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and support a team of professionals delivering high-quality, sustainable plant care.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within your territory, ensuring client needs are understood and consistently met.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, lead generation, and relationship building.
  • Partner with the Director of Outdoor to develop and achieve business, team, and personal goals.
  • Visit client locations to ensure excellent outdoor plant service and quality standards are being met.
  • Support the professional growth of the Outdoor Service team through real-time feedback, one-on-one meetings, coaching, and training opportunities.
  • Meet, develop, and recruit talented people who share our passion for the work.
Qualifications:
  • Previous account management, client service, operations, or team leadership experience required; experience in landscaping, horticulture, plant care, facilities, or another service-based industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, communicate clearly, and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or supporting a team in the field, with a focus on accountability, quality, safety, and professional development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

We are proud to offer a strong benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; pet insurance; life insurance; short-term and long-term disability; a 401(k) with company match; profit sharing; paid holidays; and a paid time off program.

Our passion is our profession. Join a team that pushes limits, dreams big, and brings nature into the spaces where people live, work, and play.
