Drive CB Insights' growth as part of our Account Management team. Role Overview
The CB Insights Account Manager, Commercial is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of mid‑market accounts for leading Venture Capital, Corporate Strategy, and Innovation groups. The role governs customer relationships, illustrates the value delivered through CB Insights' software & services, and acts as the internal voice of the customer, working with other teams to exceed expectations. Performance is measured on metrics related to customer expansion, retention, stakeholder mapping, and product adoption.

Your Main Tasks- Actively serve a portfolio of mid‑market accounts to help customers achieve positive business outcomes with our software & services.
- Drive customer software engagement and develop power users across organizations.
- Implement account plans for assigned accounts.
- Lead business development efforts to expand customer relationships.
- Run the renewal process for the assigned portfolio.
- Maintain communication and governance protocols across customer and CB Insights teams.
- Effectively solve ad‑hoc customer issues as needed.
- Use predictive renewal analytics to identify expansion opportunities and churn risks.
- Collaborate with Marketing to showcase customer communication campaigns.
- Provide continuous customer feedback to Product.
- Stay current and educate customers on CB Insights' products, competitive landscape, and innovation trends.
- Adopt and contribute to the team's standard methodologies.
- B.S. or B.A. in business management, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated results in prior roles.
- 3–5 years of account management and/or customer success experience, preferably in enterprise software or SaaS.
- Proficiency with Excel and CRMs, preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to communicate data via Excel, Salesforce, and other BI tools.
- Passion for serving customers.
- Ability to establish credibility with key decision‑makers and influencers.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with data integrations via API and Datafeed.
- Talent to recognize and maximize new business opportunities.
- Comfort with negotiation.
- Multitasking skill across multiple accounts and assignments.
- A commitment to exceed goals internally and self‑imposed.
Base salary: $85,000 – $95,000 USD plus commission.
