Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • On‑site, day‑to‑day supervision of programs, services, and activities funded directly through SYEP.
  • Act as liaison to worksites and work with the SYEP Program Director to ensure prompt and accurate submission of enrollment, payroll, and evaluations of participants.
  • Develop service‑learning base projects, provide career coaching and counseling, and implement project‑based learning experiences.
  • Supervise the Administrative Assistant, Training Monitors, Site Supervisors, and Work Readiness Facilitator, along with SYEP participants assigned to the SYEP office.
  • Monitor SYEP activities including recruitment, registration, collection of documentation, orientation, payroll, and program implementation.
  • Develop relationships and create worksites in the youth workforce development arena.
  • Co‑facilitate weekly staff meetings and conduct individual supervisory meetings with staff.
  • Monitor and review incident reports, inform DYCD of all incidents, and maintain staff attendance sheets.
  • Participate in the DYCD SYEP Program Director’s meetings and conduct evaluations of all staff at the end of the program.
  • Ensure the success of positive and innovative service delivery.
Hourly Range

$27.47 - $28.57 per hour

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a related field or minimum three years of related experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Youth Services and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
