Position Summary
The Senior Director of Adult Education and Immigration is a visionary leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and impact of QCH's adult education and workforce development programs. This role oversees a dynamic team—including the Adult Education Manager, instructors, case managers, and administrative staff—and ensures that all programs align with QCH's mission, create an inclusive learning environment, and meet the evolving needs of immigrant and adult learners.
The Senior Director will lead program innovation, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure compliance with funder requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a plan for adult education and workforce integration programs.
- Supervise and support the Immigration Director, Adult Education Managers, and other key staff in program delivery, staff development, and performance management.
- Ensure alignment of program goals with organizational mission and funder expectations.
- Lead the design and implementation of new initiatives that address emerging community needs and adult education learning trends.
- Oversee program operations, including curriculum development (all levels of Ventures, Cambridge), assessment protocols, and data systems (e.g., ASISTS, DYCD Connect).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor program metrics and outcomes; use data to drive decision-making and improve service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with all contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with workforce agencies, educational institutions, and community-based organizations.
- Represent QCH in citywide coalitions, funder meetings, and public forums related to adult education and workforce development.
- Lead outreach strategies to expand program reach and visibility in immigrant communities.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Promote equity, cultural humility, and trauma-informed practices across all program areas.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in adult education, workforce development, or nonprofit management
- Deep understanding of immigrant integration, adult learning theory, and workforce systems
- Proven track record of managing complex programs and diverse teams
- Experience with government contracts and compliance reporting
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and community empowerment
