Vice President, Global Retail Experience & Visual Merchandising

ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President will define and lead the global vision for Solde Janeiro’s physical brand experience across all retail environments. This role involves:
- Developing and executing the global retail experience vision across channels, including Sephora, specialty retail, travel retail, and emerging distribution partners.
- Creating innovative retail concepts for new launches, seasonal campaigns, hero products, and brand storytelling.
- Establishing global visual merchandising standards that balance consistency with local relevance.
- Driving innovation in physical retail experiences, identifying emerging trends, technologies, and merchandising opportunities.
- Leading the design of permanent and temporary environments such as flagship stores, pop‑ups, and shop‑in‑shop concepts.
- Overseeing the maintenance and evolution of global merchandising systems.
- Partnering with cross‑functional teams to build merchandising strategies that boost conversion, productivity, and brand awareness.
- Embedding sustainability principles in design and production practices.
- Translating marketing briefs into compelling consumer experiences that support global campaigns.
- Presenting concepts and strategies to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships with Global Marketing, Product Marketing, Commercial, Creative Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Regional teams.
- Adapting global concepts to local markets while maintaining brand consistency.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high creative standards.
- Managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations across multiple initiatives.
- Leading, coaching, and developing a high‑performing global Retail Experience and Visual Merchandising organization.
- Fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive creative culture.
- Staying ahead of global retail, design, visual merchandising, and consumer experience trends.
- Introducing innovative retail technologies, experiential concepts, and merchandising solutions.
- Continuously evaluating new materials, fabrication methods, and design approaches to enhance sustainability, scalability, and engagement.
- 12+ years of progressive experience leading global retail experience, visual merchandising, retail design, or store design within prestige beauty, luxury, fashion, or premium consumer brands.
- Proven track record in leading global retail strategies across multiple international markets.
- Strong creative portfolio demonstrating excellence in retail environments and experiential marketing.
- Deep understanding of retail design, fixture development, consumer behavior, and omnichannel execution.
- Experience partnering with major global retailers such as Sephora, Ulta, and department stores.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building, mentoring, and inspiring high‑performing creative teams.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, balancing multiple complex initiatives.
- Passion for innovation, design excellence, and creating memorable consumer experiences.
- Experience integrating sustainability principles into retail design and production.
- Willingness to travel globally as business needs require.
Salary Range: $190,000 - $260,000 USD
