Our client is an award-winning luxury fine jewelry house recognized for its innovative, art-forward designs and exceptional craftsmanship. Founder-led, the brand has become one of the industry's most distinctive emerging luxury brands, with distribution through leading global retailers and a rapidly expanding direct-to-consumer business.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on Vice President of Finance & Operations to partner closely with the CEO during an exciting phase of global expansion. This executive will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for building the financial, operational, and compliance infrastructure needed to support international growth while maintaining the agility of a founder-led luxury brand.

This is an ideal opportunity for a finance and operations executive who enjoys building scalable organizations, solving complex international business challenges, and operating as a true business partner to executive leadership.

Critical Business Priorities

As our client enters its next phase of international growth, this executive will lead several high-impact strategic initiatives, including:

  • Lead the financial and operational infrastructure supporting expansion into Europe and the Middle East
    , including market entry strategies, legal entity setup, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Establish and oversee VAT registration, reporting, and international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with external legal advisors on international commercial, employment, corporate, consumer protection, and import/export regulations.
  • Design scalable global logistics, fulfillment, and distribution capabilities supporting wholesale and direct-to-consumer growth.
  • Build operational systems, controls, and business processes that enable sustainable international scalability.
  • Optimize inventory planning, product allocation, supply chain visibility, and stock controls across retail, wholesale, and international distribution.
  • Enhance ERP systems and reporting capabilities to improve visibility, operational efficiency, and executive decision-making.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the financial, operational, legal, and compliance implications of cross-border business operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounting operations, banking relationships, accounts payable/receivable, and financial controls.
  • Develop scalable operational processes and internal controls that support company growth.
  • Drive operational excellence across corporate operations, retail, wholesale, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Implement and optimize ERP systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows.
  • Partner closely with Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and executive leadership.
  • Deliver financial and operational insights that support strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, legal, HR, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, legal counsel, banking partners, payroll providers, tax advisors, IT vendors, and other key business partners.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and operations organization.
Qualifications
  • 8-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, Operations, or Finance & Operations.
  • Demonstrated success supporting international expansion
    , particularly within Europe and/or the Middle East.
  • Strong understanding of VAT regulations, international tax, customs, import/export requirements, and cross-border compliance
    .
  • Experience implementing and managing global logistics, fulfillment, inventory, and distribution operations
    .
  • Experience coordinating with international legal, tax, banking, and regulatory partners.
  • Strong background in financial planning, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational management.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus).
  • Experience with in luxury, jewelry, fashion, beauty, premium consumer goods, or lifestyle brands is highly preferred.
  • Experience working within founder-led, entrepreneurial, or high-growth organizations
