The Physical Security Team at Blackstone is responsible for protecting the firm’s people, offices, and operations across the globe. This includes providing security for in‑house events, external events, executive protection, and day‑to‑day operations to ensure a safe and secure environment. We are seeking a full‑time employee to join the team in our New York office to support these critical functions.

Position Objective

The Senior Vice President of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in business continuity and disaster recovery, capable of thriving in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. This individual will be responsible for managing and developing a comprehensive global strategic plan and program that focuses on mitigating financial, reputational, and regulatory risks through effective business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery strategies, while establishing clear objectives and performance metrics.

Summary

Blackstone is seeking a senior enterprise resilience leader to oversee and evolve its global Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery program. This role is responsible for developing and governing an integrated resilience strategy across People, Facility, and Technology domains, ensuring the firm's ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in at least two of the three resilience pillars and the ability to integrate all three into a cohesive enterprise‑wide framework.

The SVP will partner across business, technology, security, facilities, HR, risk, and audit functions to strengthen operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and recovery readiness globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Blackstone's enterprise resilience strategy across:
    • People Resilience: business continuity planning, crisis management, workforce preparedness, and recovery readiness.
    • Facility Resilience: workplace continuity, site recovery, physical security coordination, and facilities resilience.
    • Technology Resilience: disaster recovery governance, testing, recovery oversight, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build the global Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, including governance, policies, standards, playbooks, training, testing, and crisis management frameworks.
  • Lead Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), identify critical services and dependencies, and embed risk‑based continuity planning throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate enterprise incident response, crisis management, executive communications, and recovery efforts.
  • Oversee disaster recovery governance, testing, recovery preparedness, and regulatory resilience requirements in partnership with Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTI) and technology stakeholders.
  • Provide executive reporting, metrics, and program updates to leadership, audit, regulatory stakeholders, and clients.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years leading enterprise resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, security, or related programs within complex global organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading resilience programs across People, Facility, and/or Technology domains, with deep expertise in at least two of the three areas and the ability to effectively coordinate and integrate all three pillars into a cohesive enterprise‑wide resilience program.
  • Proven success in building and scaling enterprise resilience programs.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional execution.
