Head of Rentals NYC Residential Real Estate

Our client, one of New York City's leading real estate teams, serving clients throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens is looking to hire a Head of Rentals.

The Head of Rentals is responsible for leading and growing the rental division, overseeing all rental team performance, revenue generation, agent development, and operational excellence. This role manages the full rental business, including recruiting and coaching agents, securing exclusive listings, building relationships with landlords and property owners, expanding rental inventory, and driving department profitability.

The Head of Rentals tracks and improves key performance metrics, develops systems and standard operating procedures, ensures exceptional client service, and partners with leadership to implement strategic initiatives that support continued growth.

• Lead, manage, and grow the rental department, including overall team performance and results.
• Serve as the Single Point of Accountability (SPOA) for all rental department KPIs.
• Drive rental revenue growth and achieve annual transaction and GCI goals.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and coach rental agents.
• Expand the rental team from 3 to 6 agents.
• Develop, implement, and improve rental department SOPs, scripts, training programs, and operational processes.
• Monitor and optimize performance metrics including calls, connections, consultations, listings, leads, meetings, offers, and hires.
• Generate and secure exclusive rental listings and build relationships with landlords and property owners.
• Increase rental inventory by adding multifamily and large residential buildings to the portfolio.
• Ensure all leads receive prompt follow-up and exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, agents, attorneys, landlords, and other stakeholders throughout the rental process.
• Analyze departmental data and conversion funnels to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Partner with company leadership to implement strategic growth initiatives and department improvements.
• Deliver an outstanding client experience that creates long-term relationships and referral opportunities.

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience.
• Proven experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding real estate agents.
• Strong track record of personal production within the NYC real estate rental market.
• Demonstrated success closing a significant volume of rental transactions.
• Experience creating, implementing, and managing leasing SOPs, systems, scripts, and training programs.
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs, conversion rates, and sales funnels.
• Demonstrated ability to win and manage exclusive listings.
• Knowledge of New York rental regulations, including the FARE Act and Good Faith requirements.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using CRM platforms and project management software.

Location: Remote, New York NY Salary: $90K

Compensation: $90,000 per year
