We are seeking a General Manager for an iconic, luxury dessert and retail concept to lead its high-volume location in New York City. This role offers an incredible opportunity to oversee a vibrant destination known for creating world‑class guest experiences while driving substantial revenue in one of the most famous retail markets in the world.
General Manager Responsibilities:- Oversee all daily restaurant and retail store operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, safety, cleanliness, and brand representation.
- Drive financial performance by monitoring daily sales, managing labor costs, optimizing COGS, and establishing store‑level P&L goals alongside regional leadership.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing management team and hourly staff through effective coaching, delegation, and continuous professional development.
- Manage store inventory, vendor relationships, and product ordering to ensure maximum operational efficiency without sacrificing quality or service.
- Utilize POS systems (MICROS) to analyze business trends, forecast labor and inventory needs, and manage payroll effectively.
- Handle escalated customer service situations with professionalism and empathy to uphold the brand's pristine reputation.
- Proven track record as a General Manager in a high‑volume retail, restaurant, or hybrid hospitality environment.
- Strong proficiency in P&L management, financial forecasting, inventory control, and labor optimization.
- Hands‑on experience with POS and management software (MICROS preferred), alongside proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a focus on team building, talent retention, and customer‑first culture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage effectively under minimal supervision.
- Base Salary: $75,000-$80,000
- Bonus: 20% annual performance‑based bonus incentive
