Role & Responsibilities

As the Regional Café Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations through hands-on leadership and team development

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the operational lead for 5 different café locations; overseeing up to 40 employees

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Supervisors and shift leads to deliver on KPIs, including revenue growth, guest satisfaction and team retention

  • Translate overall strategy into local execution while preserving the culture of each cafe

  • Drive store performance across all operational metrics, including labor management, cost controls, product execution, cleanliness, and hospitality

  • Champion quality, food safety, and consistency across cafes; proactively resolving operational or experience-related gaps

  • Implement and uphold hospitality standards that reflect Chelsea Piers distinct emotional and experiential touch points

  • Build succession plans, talent pipelines, and development programs across all levels of cafe leadership; proactively address underperformance

  • Conduct regular cafe visits, skip-level conversations, and coaching sessions to foster accountability and team development.

  • Partner with the Director of Food and Beverage and cross-functional teams to execute marketing programs, HR initiatives, creative conception and open new locations

  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and elevate overall performance.

  • Serve as the final line of defense to ensure stores remain operational by securing coverage or personally covering any callouts to prevent service disruptions or closures

  • Oversee all inventory management, ordering, and delivery processes, proactively communicating with distribution representatives to resolve issues and ensuring orders are submitted consistently and on schedule

  • Supervise all café employees within your purview, conducting regular touch bases and semi-annual performance reviews to ensure alignment, development, and operational excellence

  • Support the successful opening of new clubs by coordinating operations, staffing, and training to ensure seamless launch execution

Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in hospitality or food & beverage; QSR or café experience preferred

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead leaders – building high performance teams and leadership pipelines

  • Leadership style that fosters trust, energy and accountability

  • Provide a top-notch customer service to ensure you meet or exceed clients’ and team expectations

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Training, motivation and retention of Canteen staff

  • Ability to lift 30 + pounds

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout the work shift

  • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and work effectively in an environment typical of this position

  • Food Handler’s license
