From its India office, A&M offers turnaround and restructuring advice, interim and crisis management, performance improvement, transaction advisory services, dispute advisory, and investigation services to pe firms, local and multinational firms and banks. Additionally, A&M brings industry expertise to India in a range of sectors, including automotive, business process outsourcing (BPO), consumer products, industrial products, private equity, transportation & infrastructure, manufacturing, retail, technology, telecommunications and textiles.

Alvarez & Marsal's disputes and investigations (DI) team works with clients to advise on anti-bribery and corruption consulting, fraud investigations, anti-fraud programs and controls, regulatory compliance, litigation support and bankruptcy matters. DI team provides expertise to manage and minimize securities litigation and regulatory compliance risks.

DI advises clients on internal investigations involving white-collar crimes and financial crimes, embezzlement of funds, financial statement fraud, misuse of corporate assets etc. DI team also assists in litigation and arbitration matters involving expert witness engagements buy-sell disputes, construction contracts, claim for damages and royalties and accounting issues.

Design and implement corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements. Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate enterprise-level risks. Develop and implement tailored risk management strategies and controls to mitigate identified risks. Monitor compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. Conduct reviews of board and management processes, including board composition, independence, and decision-making mechanisms.

Assess and enhance compliance programs, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) protocols, code of conduct, and whistle blower mechanisms. Support clients in managing regulatory compliance, including interactions with regulatory bodies and adherence to sector-specific laws. Develop and enhance third-party risk management frameworks to monitor and mitigate risks associated with vendors, agents, and intermediaries. Implement tools and methodologies to track compliance performance and ensure timely reporting.

Manage client engagements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Conduct detailed reviews of policies, procedures, and internal controls to identify gaps and recommend improvements. Perform walkthroughs, data analysis, and sample transaction reviews to test the effectiveness of controls. Draft and deliver client reports, presentations, and risk management frameworks.

Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and technical expertise. Promote a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Develop presentations for clients, boards, and senior management. Articulate complex governance, risk, and compliance concepts in a clear and concise manner.
