The Vice President, Business & Partnerships (VPBP) is a newly created executive role charged with building and accelerating The Moth’s earned revenue and partnership strategy during a period of significant growth. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the VPBP will lead commercial strategy across sponsor ships, strategic and distribution partnerships, licensing and adaptation, and Moth Works - our corporate storytelling workshop program.
This is an entrepreneurial role with real authority: the VPBP drives deal structure, pricing, and partner selection, and moves fast to close. That authority comes with one shared commitment - protecting the trust audiences place in The Moth’s artistic product. For partnerships that touch the storytelling environment directly, the VPBP and Executive Producer shape the deal together, with artistic integrity leading the way.
The ideal candidate pairs strategic vision with strong execution: someone who can build scalable systems, cultivate transformative partnerships, and lead a high-performing team at the intersection of business development, storytelling, media, and culture.
