Director, Project Management – EPTech

• Drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects aligned with Capital One’s business priorities
• Break down complexity and organizational silos
• Influence roadmaps and dive deeply into project plans and scope
• Make strategic tradeoffs and drive platform consolidation
• Identify, resolve, define, and escalated mitigation plans for hard project dependencies
• Establish structure for managing work in dynamic, complex environments
• Drive all phases of project management, including feasibility, definition, planning, prioritization, implementation, and closeout
• Apply project management methodology and standards and keep project documents complete and current
• Lead cross-functional teamwork, communication, negotiation, and collaboration across all levels
• Partner with stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership and drive project delivery
• Influence cross-functional teams toward common goals despite resource and time constraints
• Create transparency and foster relationships with adjacent teams
• Build team strategy and develop and lead associates toward top performance
• Operate strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Manage multiple competing priorities, prioritize by impact, and make tradeoffs to meet deadlines
• Create clarity among diverse groups of team members and stakeholders
• Establish metrics and use data to measure operational efficiency, team health, and partnership effectiveness
• Challenge the status quo

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 9 years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience
• At least 7 years of People Management experience
• Preferred:
  Masters in Business Administration
• Preferred: 10+ years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience
• Preferred: 3+ years of Operations experience
• Preferred: 7+ years of People Management experience
• Preferred: 2+ years of Learning & Development experience
• Preferred: PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Demonstrates extensive experience in Project Management, including feasibility, planning, implementation, and closeout, while effectively leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficient in applying project management methodologies and establishing metrics to measure operational efficiency and team performance.
