About the Team
Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses, and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble team in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business.
The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Public Affairs team across the world.

About the RoleThe Vice President of Communications Operations and Business Management is a key member of the Communications organization. You will work with senior leadership and partners throughout the Communications team, Enterprise Services and Public Affairs, and across the global functions to support and further develop key programs that drive strong operations and business management capabilities in the global organization, with a focus on our risk and controls and governance activities.
Responsibilities- In partnership with members of the Communications Operations and Business Management team and functional partners, support activities and global testing that strengthen operational processes, governance and audit-readiness
- Lead Audit-related efforts, records management activities and issues management for Communications globally
- Partner closely with Communications leadership and teams to inform and advise on both ongoing operations work and to identify areas of opportunity
- In partnership with the Senior Vice President, support vendor management onboarding and renewal activities, and global strategy implementation
- Support the development and implementation of Communications-specific development programs for the team globally
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, or another related field
- Knowledge of communications or marketing and 4-6 years of increased responsibility for business management, preferably with a large and complex organization
- Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
- Affinity working through complex initiatives and translating them for a broader audience’s understanding
- Experience or competency in navigating a controls and governance environment
- Comfort operating in the unknown and determining a strategic path forward
- Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude
- A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contribute
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-time zone organization
