Our flagship workforce development program, Ready, Willing & Able (RWA), operates across 660 transitional housing beds and combines housing and comprehensive supportive services with paid work training, career preparation, and occupational skills training. The Doe Fund’s innovative social enterprise model creates additional opportunities for New Yorkers to gain paid, hands-on experience while delivering essential services across the city, including supplemental sanitation, graffiti removal, and rain garden maintenance.

We are also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 2,100 apartments in operation or development, creating safe, dignified homes with supportive services and spaces that foster community and connection. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $88 million and a full-time staff of over 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.

We are seeking a Temp Program Director for The Doe Fund's permanent supportive housing.
This temporary position is anticipated to be approximately 3–4 months in duration. The housing program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services in a community environment that maximizes residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. This 255 unit residence will provide housing for 153 individuals and families referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and the rest 102 units will be apartments for moderate income households.

The Program Director will provide leadership and direction for both staff and residents. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication and management skills along with experience working with the HIV/AIDS population, relevant New York City and State agencies, and funding sources.

• Oversee day- to- day operations of the supportive housing program including implementation of the fiscal, programmatic and administrative procedures
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the administrative, clinical, building maintenance, and residential services of the program
• Monitor program budget and contracts and ensure that proper documentation is provided for all expenses and accounts
• Oversee the intake process and ensure the program is operating at full capacity at all times
• Provide 24-hour on-call crisis intervention when needed
• Provide trainings to staff on harm reduction, substance abuse and mental health
• Ensure compliance with HASA and ESSHI contracts, and performance standards
• Responsible for the completion of various reports as required by HASA, the AIDS Institute and The Doe Fund
• Provide supervision to clinical staff and ensure that staff is providing adequate supportive case management services to the residents
• Conduct performance evaluations on all supervises
• Facilitate staff meetings, clinical meetings, and resident community meetings
• Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks to ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of all required documentation
• Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and community organizations
• Perform other duties as assigned
