Senior VP of DD Residential Services

Heartshare is seeking a strategic, operationally strong, and results-driven Senior Vice President of DD Residential Services to provide executive leadership and oversight for one of the agency’s largest service portfolios, generating approximately $86 million in annual revenue and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across a broad network of residential programs.

Reporting to the Chief Program Officer for Residential & Clinical Services, the Senior Vice President is accountable for the overall performance of Heartshare’s DD Residential Services portfolio, including Supervised IRAs, Supportive IRAs, ICFs, and other residential models. The SVP is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered services while driving operational consistency, regulatory compliance, workforce stability, occupancy, financial performance, and continuous improvement.

The SVP serves as the senior operational leader for Residential Services and is expected to translate organizational strategy into measurable execution across the portfolio. This includes establishing clear performance expectations, strengthening leadership accountability, using data to identify and address performance gaps, and ensuring that residential programs operate safely, effectively, and sustainably.

The successful candidate will be a visible and engaged executive leader with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site human services operations and developing high-performing leadership teams.

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Performance Partner with the Chief Program Officer and executive leadership to establish and execute the strategic direction for DD Residential Services.

Provide executive oversight of the full residential portfolio and establish consistent operating standards, expectations, and accountability across programs.

Translate agency and divisional priorities into measurable operational goals, performance indicators, and action plans.

Use data, dashboards, financial reports, and operational scorecards to evaluate portfolio performance, identify trends and risks, and drive timely corrective action.

Establish clear expectations for performance recovery plans when programs or leaders are not meeting established targets.

Identify opportunities to strengthen, modernize, expand, consolidate, or redesign residential services based on individual needs, operational performance, accessibility, workforce considerations, and financial sustainability.

Partner with Clinical Services, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Facilities, and other functions to advance integrated residential strategies and resolve systemic operational barriers.

Provide the Chief Program Officer and executive leadership with concise, data-informed assessments of residential performance, risks, priorities, and recommended actions.

Residential Operations Provide executive oversight of day-to-day residential operations through Vice Presidents and other senior residential leaders.

Ensure consistent implementation of person-centered services and operational standards across all residential programs.

Maintain visible leadership presence throughout the residential portfolio, including periodic site visits across shifts and weekends, to assess program conditions, leadership effectiveness, staffing practices, and quality of services.

Establish clear decision rights, escalation protocols, and management expectations across all levels of residential leadership.

Ensure appropriate emergency response, leadership coverage, and operational continuity for a 24/7 service environment.

Monitor and address systemic operational issues affecting program quality, staffing, safety, individual outcomes, or financial performance.
