Head of , Americas, Team Leader

Bloomberg is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Benefits, Americas to lead our benefits strategy and programs across the region. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for the benefits experience of approximately 14,000 employees in the U.S. and approximately 500 employees across eight other countries in the broader Americas region , while ensuring our programs remain competitive, sustainable and aligned with the evolving needs of our business and workforce.

As the senior benefits leader for the Americas, you will be the face of U.S. benefits, with oversight of our full portfolio of health and welfare, retirement, wellbeing and time away/leave programs. You will bring a regional perspective to the role, navigating the distinct market, regulatory and employee needs across the countries we operate in throughout the Americas. This position does not include Compensation — your focus will be exclusively on the benefits and time away programs that support our people’s health, wellbeing and future.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key partners across HR, providing expertise on benefits strategy, market trends, program design, governance and complex benefits matters. You will have the opportunity to shape programs that employees value, understand and engage with, while balancing the needs of our people with the priorities of the business. You will need the depth of expertise to oversee sophisticated programs while bringing the leadership presence, judgment and communication skills to represent Benefits with employees and senior stakeholders.

We’ ll trust you to :

• Lead the strategy:
  Own the strategy, design and delivery of Bloomberg’s Americas health and welfare, retirement, wellbeing and time away/leave programs, ensuring they remain competitive, sustainable and responsive to the needs of our employees and business.
• Drive financial accountability:
  Oversee significant benefits spend and program economics, including budgets, renewals, vendor investments and plan changes. Bring strong financial acumen to benefits decision-making, balancing employee experience and market competitiveness with cost effectiveness, long-term sustainability and risk.
• Shape the employee experience:
  Create and evolve benefits programs that employees value, understand and engage with — from health and wellness to retirement and leaves — with a strong focus on the overall employee experience.
• Be the voice of U.S. benefits:
  Serve as the senior benefits subject matter expert and primary representative for U.S. benefits, providing clear, thoughtful guidance to employees, HR partners and senior leadership.
• Lead and develop the team:
  Coach and develop a team of six benefits professionals, establishing priorities, building capability and creating opportunities for continued growth.
• Maintain and enhance vendor partnerships:
  Manage relationships with insurers, brokers, consultants, administrators and wellbeing providers. Lead contract negotiations, establish meaningful service standards and KPIs, and hold partners accountable for excellent delivery.
• Drive operational excellence:
  Build on existing processes, controls and data transfers to benefits vendors and key internal stakeholders. Develop a forward-looking vision for benefits operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls and leverage technology.
• Leverage insights:
  Use benefits analytics, utilization trends, employee feedback, market intelligence and competitor benchmarking to continuously evaluate and refine our programs. Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
