The Senior Vice President, Group Account Director is a strategic business leader responsible for driving client success, business growth, and team performance across a portfolio of healthcare brands. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, leads integrated teams, and ensures the delivery of innovative, insight-driven solutions that achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings deep oncology expertise, significant healthcare agency experience, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to lead complex client relationships while developing high-performing teams.
Responsibilities Client & Business Leadership- Serve as a strategic partner to senior client stakeholders, helping shape brand, business, and customer engagement strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of therapeutic areas, market dynamics, competitive activity, and emerging healthcare trends.
- Lead integrated teams to deliver innovative, insight-driven solutions that drive client success and business growth.
Build and strengthen senior client relationships while proactively identifying opportunities for organic growth, expanded scope, and portfolio growth.
- Contribute to new business efforts, including opportunity identification, pitch development, and presentations.
- Navigate complex client situations with confidence, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent through coaching, feedback, and career development planning.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and ensure teams are equipped to deliver exceptional client experiences and business outcomes.
- Serve as a visible leader within the organization and contribute to key initiatives that strengthen culture and performance.
- Oversee financial performance across assigned accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, staffing, and profitability.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute business plans that support growth objectives.
- Drive operational excellence through effective resource management and business oversight.
- Ensure client business is managed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, partnership, and service.
- Champion innovation and forward-thinking approaches that enhance client and business outcomes.
- Promote collaboration across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions and exceptional work.
- Contribute to organizational growth through leadership, industry knowledge, and business development.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- 15+ years of account management experience within healthcare advertising, including substantial healthcare agency experience leading pharmaceutical clients and integrated account teams
Deep oncology experience required, including leadership of oncology brands and a strong understanding of the oncology treatment landscape and stakeholder ecosystem
