CLO Operations Manager

Leading multibillion-dollar investment adviser focused on global high-yield and credit markets seeks an experienced "
CLO Operations Manager" with approximately 8-15 years of relevant experience in CLO, structured credit, loan operations, or a related field, preferably acquired with a CLO manager, credit-focused asset manager, or similar structured credit platform.

This is an excellent hands-on leadership opportunity to lead and develop a small operations team while playing an important role in the ongoing management and development of a sophisticated CLO and structured credit platform. The CLO Operations Manager will have significant interaction with Research, Trading, Fund Accounting, and external service providers across the CLO lifecycle.

• Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team responsible for CLO operations and administration.
• CLO Operations, Reconciliations & Reporting: Oversee portfolio, position, cash, and transaction reconciliations and review monthly CLO reporting, trustee files, waterfall calculations, and distributions.
• Loan & Portfolio Activity: Oversee interest accruals, rate resets, paydowns, amortization events, corporate actions, and other loan-related activity.
• CLO Warehouse Management: Monitor CLO and warehouse cash balances, calculate warehouse fundings, prepare drawdown requests, and support closing and effective date procedures.
• Trade & Investment Support: Partner with Research and Trading on new issues, resets, refinancings, purchases, sales, trade capture and allocation, and related portfolio activity.
• Investment & Reference Data: Oversee investment, issuer, and security setup and maintenance, including related reference data.
• External & Internal Coordination: Work closely with trustees, administrators, custodians, fund accountants, Audit, Tax, Research, Trading, and other internal teams to resolve operational and reporting matters.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve reporting and processes, and enhance operating efficiency and scalability.

• 8-15 years of relevant experience in CLO, structured credit, loan operations, or a related field, preferably acquired with a CLO manager, credit-focused asset manager, or similar structured credit platform.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring an operations team; familiarity with Virtus is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the CLO lifecycle, including warehouses, new issues, closing and effective dates, resets, refinancings, distributions, trustee reporting, waterfalls, and ongoing administration.
• Strong understanding of credit agreements, CLO indentures, agent notices, Clear Par, and LSTA/LMA trade documentation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills, including experience working with large data sets and resolving discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, internal teams, and external service providers in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

Base salary: $190,000-$215,000, with excellent benefits, a hybrid work schedule, all-in compensation of up to $300,000, and a bonus buyout option available.
