Job Description & How to Apply Below

J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on leader to oversee our Executive and Employee Social Media program, with Linked In as the primary platform. This Executive Director will set strategy, establish governance and controls, and drive measurable advocacy and thought leadership outcomes, while also rolling up their sleeves to create content, coach senior leaders, and operate the program day-to-day with a team.

As a Head of Executive & Employee Social Media Executive Director within the Global Social Media team at J.P. Morgan, you will lead employee activity, engagement and advocacy efforts on Linked In. You will oversee our Linked In Sales Navigator program, provide internal education and guidance, manage the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Ambassador and Advocacy programs, and ensure adherence to controls and guardrails to protect our employees and the firm.

This role offers the opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of social selling, content creation, social media analytics, and B2B marketing and communications in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job responsibilities
  • Own the Commercial and Investment Bank and Corporate executive and employee social media strategy, with Linked In as the primary platform; sets strategy and standards, and personally leads high-stakes execution for priority executives/campaigns.
  • Build and maintain the governance model: operating procedures, playbooks, approval workflows, content standards, risk escalation paths, documentation, auditability.
  • Partner with executive communications and business leadership to shape executive presence, narrative, and forward-facing thought-leadership calendar.
  • Oversee the Linked In Sales Navigator program, including enablement approach, stakeholder alignment, and measurement.
  • Own the Ambassador program end-to-end (program design, participant experience, onboarding/offboarding, content pipeline, and reporting).
  • Partner with Marketing to run the employee advocacy program, including content distribution strategy and performance optimization.
  • Provide executive-facing counsel and 1:1 coaching for senior leaders (profile optimization, posting strategy, engagement, commenting, connection strategy, do/don’t).
  • Able tocreate, edit, and publish content directly (copy, basic creative direction, analytics pulls) while also scaling through team and partners.
  • Establish a measurement framework and operating cadence (dashboards/readouts, insights, recommendations, and continuous improvement roadmap).
  • Lead employee social media guidance across wholesale and corporate businesses: conduct training sessions to educate employees on the firm’s social media policy, ensuring employees are well-informed and compliant with social media guidelines
  • Collaborate with key partners across risk, controls, legal and compliance to protect the firm and employees by adhering to regulatory and line of business requirements; deliver trainings and coordinate issue escalation as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (social strategy, executive communications, employee advocacy, and/or B2B marketing/communications), with demonstrated executive-facing leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior leaders and navigate high-sensitivity reputational topics. Ability to cultivate relationships across divisions and lines of business globally; strong senior stakeholder management.
  • Social crisis/issues management experience (rapid response, escalation, coordination).
  • Deep expertise in Linked In and its capabilities, including experience with Linked In Sales Navigator.
  • Proven experience building, scaling, and measuring advocacy/ambassador programs—ideally in a regulated environment.
  • Strong governance and risk mindset; demonstrated ability to build programs with Risk/Compliance/Legal partnership.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and messaging skills with strong judgment and attention to detail.
  • Possess a strong leadership presence, excellent presentation skills and the ability to convey decisions with clarity.
  • Sound judgment and high-quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and passion for keeping up to speed on the social media landscape.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and analytics tools (Hearsay, Sprinklr, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Financial services experiences
