Director of Packaging Design

Supported by a team of professionals skilled in design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing & distribution of premium quality children's wear, Haddad distributes globally to 100+ countries and maintains sales and sourcing offices in 22 cities globally, including New York, Paris, Hilversum, Shanghai, Egypt, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Montreal.

The Director of Packaging Design will define and oversee the strategy, vision, and execution for an independent business unit or department.

• Drive execution of packaging design and development across brands, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with brand and business objectives
• Lead the execution of all activities of design development on designated brand(s) and collaborate on others as needed
• Establish and standardize packaging processes, workflows, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency
• Own and optimize packaging systems and tools (e.g., VSN, PLM) to ensure accurate tracking, visibility, and cross-functional integration
• Drive cross-functional execution and alignment with Design, Sales, Marketing, Product Approval, Sourcing, and licensors
• Oversee supplier performance and production execution, ensuring quality standards, consistency, and timelines are met
• Manage workload planning and resource allocation, ensuring team capacity aligns with business needs and deadlines
• Lead ideation, kickoff meetings, and innovation efforts while driving implementation of new concepts, materials, and efficiencies
• Oversee execution to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving solutions across teams and suppliers
• Coordinate with Creative Services to ensure packaging needs and showroom mockups are accurate and up to date
• Partner with licensors and key stakeholders to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards, timelines, and business requirements
• Utilize market research and retail insights to guide packaging decisions, including size, structure, and functionality
• Lead and develop the packaging design team, providing direction, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality execution
• Ensure packaging programs are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining alignment with seasonal calendars and business goals
• Travel as needed for inspiration, approvals, and production oversight
• Special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a must)
• Ability to travel as needed
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Power Point
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
• Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of designers
