The Metal Processing Operator supports daily production in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment. This role is responsible for handling and preparing revert (recycled metal), assisting furnace operations, and performing basic equipment tasks. All training is provided. This is an excellent opportunity to gain foundational manufacturing experience with long‑term growth potential.

• Inspecting, cleaning, sorting, resizing, and weighing recycled metals “revert” to prepare for the melting process
• Operating basic equipment (grinders, analyzers, cut‑off saws) after training
• Recording weights, batch data, and traceability information
• Organizing, staging, labeling, and preparing materials for furnace charging
• Assisting furnace operators by safely delivering charge materials
• Safely operating cranes, hoists, and forklifts (training provided)
• Following SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements
• Maintaining clean, organized work areas and supporting 5S standards
• Communicating effectively to support production flow and problem‑solving

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial equipment
• Ability to read/follow written instructions and safety procedures
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Ability to work overtime and work on‑site in Chittenango, NY
