Overview We recruit the best talent and invest in their ongoing development, through training and mentoring. We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our Inwood team supporting the JFK Airport
.
- Accept deliveries from suppliers, check delivery against purchase order for accuracy and quality, identify broken or missing items, notify if incorrect, and fill out documentation.
- Assist in breaking down skids and putting away raw materials.
- Fill requisitions from stock/warehouse in a timely manner (includes food and non-food items, dry and wet goods).
- Restock, move, and rotate stock within storage areas (refrigerated and non-refrigerated).
- Break down refuse containers for disposal.
- Maintain clean storage areas daily; clean up spills and breakages.
- Work as a team player and collaborate with supervision at all levels.
- Operate in a safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
- Assist with checking and auditing inventory as required.
- Comply with all HACCP/GMP and proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Pack racks and ovens when needed.
- Keep walk-ins organized and clean.
- Receive all goods entering the unit and put them away; assist kitchen staff with item retrieval as needed.
- Ensure all purchase orders are completed accurately.
- Other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of work experience.
Qualifications- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience entering data into an ERP system.
- Inventory management and LIFO/FIFO knowledge.
- Able to work in refrigerated storage areas.
- Ability to move stock on flat surfaces and up inclined ramps; use of hand trucks, lifts, and pallet movers.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic math skills: add, multiply, subtract, and divide.
- Must have prior warehouse/storage experience.
- Intellectual/Social demands: Ability to multi-task under time constraints, maintain precise attention to detail, follow multi-step instructions, and demonstrate reliability and accountability.
- Physical demands: Standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and the ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Work environment: Indoor setting with noise levels ranging from minimal to loud.
