Kinsa is recruiting for a: QA Sanitation Manager / Confectionary

Location:
Long Island, NY (Onsite - Must be LOCAL)

  • $140,000 – $150,000 base salary range
  • 401k

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
  • Lead and maintain the facility Food Safety Plan in compliance with FSMA, PCQI, FDA regulations, HACCP requirements, and third‑party audit standards (SQF/BRC).
  • Oversee QA systems including ingredient inspections, in‑process checks, finished goods testing, and product release decisions across a high‑SKU portfolio.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for non‑conformances, deviations, and customer complaints.
  • Design and enforce allergen management programs in a multi‑allergen manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule while overseeing sanitation staff to ensure effective cleaning of production equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Lead, coach, and train QA and sanitation teams while analyzing quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement and strengthen food safety culture.
Competencies Needed for Success:
  • 5–10+ years of food manufacturing quality assurance experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • PCQI and HACCP certified (or ability to obtain/maintain certification).
  • Experience managing SQF / BRC programs and supporting regulatory audits. SQF Certification a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, FSMA, GMP, allergen control, and food labeling regulations.
  • Experience in high‑SKU, complex packaging, or private label manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field required.
