IEC is in search of a Mold Operator to join our Wire and Cable Production Team at our new facility in Newark, NY! This is a 1st shift direct hire full time opportunity we are looking to fill ASAP! We also have Wire & Cable Assembler positions available as well.

Position Overview:

Mold Operators are responsible for performing a variety of tasks and processes to complete molding operations. Mold Operators must be able to follow established methods and procedures to ensure these tasks are completed as directed by manufacturing schedules.

Mold Operator Accountabilities:

* Perform all functions of machine operations

* Start machine and observe operation to detect machine problems

* Ability to remove and rework molds

* Read and measure with rulers, tape measures and calipers

* Perform mathematical conversions

* Train, lead and mentor lower level operators

* Keep in line with company accredited certifications and safety policy

Position

Qualifications:

* Minimum Education:

High School Diploma
* Minimum Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, or a combination of experience and education

Other Skills/Knowledge/

Experience:

* Ability to read and interpret drawings

* Ability to identify vendor markings

* Ability to research value, size, tolerance, and if applicable voltage of components and assemblies

* Ability to read and use measuring devices

* Knowledge of company procedures, quality policy and quality manual

* Knowledge of ERP system

Computer

Skills:

* Basic Word for Windows skills as evidenced by the ability to produce basic business letters and simple tables and charts; as well as check spelling, set tabs, change page orientation, sort, save, open and organize electronic files.

Physical Activity Requirements:

Work Environment:
Production environment where the noise level is generally moderately noisy

Work Position:
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking around

Body Movements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Weight Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Sensory Requirements:
Vision, speech, hearing, smell, and touch are routinely used in day to day functions
