Position: Injection Operator (Days) 2-2-3 Schedule
Location: New York

Injection Operator (Days) – 2‑2‑3 Schedule

Niagara is looking for team members who want to support our mission of providing the highest quality, most affordable bottled water. Our day‑to‑day operations rely on skilled injection operators to run PET and HDPE injection equipment safely and effectively.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare, set‑up, start up, and run injection equipment.
  • Make minor equipment adjustments as directed; mechanical work requires prior approval.
  • Maintain accurate logs and forms (pre‑shot, daily log, destruction logs, and quality forms).
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and follow plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure production meets standards.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas, break rooms, and rest rooms.
  • Identify resin types (VPET, RPET, HDPE) and determine which parts can be ground and reintroduced.
  • Accurately document inspection sheets and report quality defects immediately.
  • Work independently in multiple production areas; perform relief duties when required.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance on larger problems.
  • Use computer systems such as Shotscope, Electirc
    80, and Ignition.
  • Understand line flow and manufacturing process to maximize throughput.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
    • 2 years’ experience in the specific position.
    • Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
    • 4 years’ experience working in the position.
    • 2 years of experience managing people or projects.

Education
  • Minimum

    Required:

    High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred:
    Associate's Degree.
Compensation

Hourly: $23.52 – $31.16
