Fabrication & Maintenance B – 3rd Shift

Reporting To:
Supervisor, Hydraulic Maintenance

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Buffalo, NY

• High School diploma or GED preferred; or demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• Experience using measuring devices, hand and power tools.
• Ability to work from drawings, sketches, or layouts.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential 2nd shift operations on weekends.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary based on business need.

• Install, maintain and operate equipment in hydraulic, heating, water, air or gas systems.
• Determine method of hook‑up for instruments, valves, controls, brackets, supports; measure, cut, form, and flare tubing; cut and thread piping; produce necessary joints, connections, soldering, brazing and welding.
• Check completed equipment/systems, move and install, make necessary connections, and functionally test to ensure safe and correct operation.
• Build special test equipment for engineering and maintain/replace units or portions of central systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment, replace all faulty components including hydraulic pumps; coordinate with machine repair and electrician personnel to maintain systems.
• Maintain oil levels in hydraulic systems; drain, clean, change filters; report unusual contamination levels.
• Observe for unusual conditions and notify supervisor or technical personnel.
• Use extreme caution to prevent cross‑contamination by mixing fluids or gases in interconnecting systems.
