Job Title: Packaging Mechanic

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $23.00 – $29.00 /hr

Work Hours/Shift/Remote: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot process equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain operating machines and correct malfunctions efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance, selecting and collecting parts from the storeroom.
• Work with other mechanics to set up, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment.
• Track downtime, change-over time, preventive maintenance, and productivity results.
• Complete preventive maintenance within required time to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Communicate possible equipment deterioration using the parts logbook and "One Point Lesson" troubleshooting form.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and ensure all automatic equipment is fully functional.
• Follow safe procedures when repairing or maintaining equipment, using lock-out/tag-out and required safety equipment.
• Recommend maintenance improvements to reduce costs and safety hazards.
• Restart machines quickly when required by business needs.
• Provide immediate feedback to the supervisor on unsafe equipment or working conditions.
• Adhere to CIPLA safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of packaging experience with knowledge of repairing and maintenance activities, preferably in a pharmaceutical company.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and good documentation practices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) – intermediate proficiency.
• Good basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.
