Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grinders

* Reads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and products

* Completes engineering changes and modifies molds

* Troubleshoots and repairs molds

* Prepares molds for production

* Repairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needs

* Prepares molds for storage following production runs

* Design and build secondary fixtures

* Works with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scales

* Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT

* Keeps a clean and safe work environment

* Other duties as required

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

Education and Experience:

* Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

* Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required

* 6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is required

* At least 2 years machining experience

* CAD/CAM knowledge is preferred

* An ability to read prints and work with mathematical concepts

* An ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferred

* Mechanical aptitude required

* Basic computer skills

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

* Must be able to effectively interact with others

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

* Pay Range: $25.75/hr to $38.75/hr

* Participation in Annual Incentive Program
