Scope of Position
The Welder Combination role involves performing high-quality welding using a variety of techniques-including Flux Cored Arc, Stick, MIG, TIG, and Plasma-on materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys. This position requires adherence to industry-standard procedures and a focus on precision, safety, and efficiency to support diverse fabrication and repair projects.
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY.
Primary
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Execute welding using various techniques including MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored Arc, and Plasma Arc on a range of metals such as carbon steel, stainless aluminum, and nickel alloys.
* Analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements and specifications.
* Set up welding equipment and prepare materials by cutting, grinding, or cleaning surfaces to ensure strong welds.
* Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
* Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, proper ventilation and safe handling of materials and tools.
* Ability to pass ASME coupon tests and obtain ASME Certified Combination Welder.
* Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Company management.
* Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency).

Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Completion of a certified welding training program or apprenticeship preferred.
* Ability to weld mig, tig and stick.
* English comprehension: ability to read, write and communicate.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
* Must be mechanically inclined.
* Ability to use power tools; handle light and average weight parts.
* Ability to work safely.
* Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
* Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screens, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Blauvelt, NY location (Monday - Friday).
Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
* Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
* Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
Pay Range:
The expected salary range for this position is $32.89- $36.15 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
