** THE WORK*
* Looking for a motivated professional to join our Lab Design and Build Team  Able to learn and carry out a wide variety of tasks, requiring mechanical and electrical fabrication, assembly and test skills to support lab operations  As a Lab Build Technician you will be tasked with assembling cable harnesses designed for integration into our software development labs here in Owego, NY  Our wire harnesses are built to print with no work instructions provided  Upon completion of the wire harnesses they are continuity tested then installed into our sound enclosures and commercial equipment racks which makeup the software development benches

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* Must be able to read and understand blueprints and bill of materials as well as having good mechanical/assembly skills

Proficiency in the use of various types of computer and software programs

Ability to work under general supervision and have the ability to multi task and adapt to change in priority or design

Possess strong communication  technically  and organizational skills

Be self motivated to carry out daily tasks  clean as you work, perform continuity on peer work, keep up on training, etc   and work in a team environment

** Desired

Skills:

* Working knowledge of IPC - 610, IPC - 620 & IPC - 630

Must be able to utilize an assortment of hand tools  cutters, crimpers, etc  , multimeters, wires strippers, along with various other tooling/equipment

Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc

Must have good dexterity and experience working with small pieces of hardware

Basic knowledge of electronic principles

Must have a good attention to detail

Possesses strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to be a focused self starter and work in a team environment
