Manufacturing Specialist – onsemi
Responsibilities- Load wafers into production equipment, verify product specs against equipment settings, and monitor equipment operation.
- Use analytic and deductive skills to determine the best strategies for processing wafers, including tool changeovers.
- Make minor corrections to the process and equipment and recognize when a technician or engineer is needed; suggest improvements to productivity.
- Conduct process diagnosis and interpretation using statistical process control (SPC) methodology.
- Perform production processes in accordance with documented specifications and production schedules, interfacing with computer systems.
- Work with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks that impact team goals.
- Follow and stay up to date on safety and conduct requirements.
- Meet the physical requirements listed below.
- Carry pods of wafers that weigh 15 pounds throughout the full shift of work.
- Frequent climbing of 4-5 step stairs while carrying a wafer pod throughout the full shift of work.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior semiconductor experience preferred but not required.
- Stable work history is a plus.
- Must be able to work a 12‑hour compressed shift in a clean‑room environment.
- Hard‑working, flexible team player with superior attention to detail and computer knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and manage a large volume of activity and demands.
- Wearing clean‑room garments, including bunny suit, gloves, safety glasses, approved clean‑room shoes, and face coverings.
- Ability to carry 15‑pound wafer pods and climb 4‑5 steps without assistance.
- Compressed 12‑hour shifts; alternating 3 working days one week and 4 working days the next week.
- Night shifts:
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday 6:30 PM–7:00 AM with a 15% night shift differential. - Day shift 2:
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM–7:00 PM. - Night shift 1:
Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Saturday 6:30 PM–7:00 AM with a 15% night shift differential. - Punctuality is mandatory to ensure coverage.
Base salary range: $18.75–$25.87 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Pay rate depends on location, skills, education, and experience.
