- Perform all Distribution/Warehouse functions as outlined in established procedures.
- Select, check, pack and/or palletize, and label all types of standard orders for shipment.
- Perform highly repetitive packaging, assembly, and/or machine operation.
- Receive Customer product through acceptance or unloading shipping container, including pallet breakdown, and identifying box weights; process all applicable documentation accurately.
- Coordinate staging of incoming Customer product by transferring or overseeing the transfer of product to the non-process storage locations safely and damage‑free.
- Inspect finished goods as they move from packaging to assembly, and inspect incoming or outgoing Customer product for damages and/or count discrepancies and report such conditions as outlined in established procedures.
- Maintain and submit warehouse reports depicting where products are staged within the facility.
- Verify that all identified damages and/or count discrepancies have been reported and resolved.
- Ensure shipment of product within shipping deadline by maintaining contact with internal facility staff; prepare product for shipment by retrieving Customer product from processed area and staging in shipping area; prepare accurate shipping documentation; load product into shipping trailers/containers or transfer small packages to delivery service.
- Ensure timely receipt or shipment of Customer product by assisting material‑handling activities, loading and unloading trucks.
- Ensure quality conformance against bills of material as well as visual controlled images.
- Actively participate and support Lean and Safety initiatives, as well as daily cycle count programs and other directives, when required.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Operate forklift and/or other material‑handling equipment, as needed.
- Meet department productivity and quality goals.
- Contribute to a team effort by performing in accordance with all STERIS/Hu Friedy Group policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; support the directives and decisions of higher‑level management and perform other duties as assigned to ensure team continuity across all warehouse operations.
Experience and skills are valued over formal education. A college degree or high school diploma is not required.
Required Experience- 1‑2 years related Warehouse Experience or shipping/receiving experience.
- OSHA Certified Forklift Operator – preferred. Training will be paid for if not currently certified.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP required (SAP and/or Shop Vue preferred).
- Licensed to operate powered industrial equipment safely (e.g., forklift or yard truck).
- Ability to multi‑task, adapt to changing responsibilities, and prioritize duties.
- Ability to work under regular supervision, either independently or as part of a team, in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Navigate defined computer screens and the STERIS Operational Data Management System.
- Organizing, analyzing, and basic math skills (four basic arithmetic functions in all units of measurement, decimals, ratios, rates, percentages).
- Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy (Receiving Reports, Bills of Lading, etc.).
- Effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience.
- Adaptability to changing duties and responsibilities.
- Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
