Manufacturing Engineer
Location:
East Farmingdale, NY
Salary/hourly rate: $83,800 to $110,000
- Generate operation sheets and sketches to support all phases of manufacturing within the facility.
- Design necessary tooling and fixtures required to support manufacturing processes.
- Maintain all applicable manufacturing project documentation.
- Support CNC programming methods within the manufacturing facility.
- Interact with in‑house manufacturing personnel and vendors to support tool and fixture fabrication.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering Department in the absence of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
- Perform all necessary tool and fixture designs for both manufacturing and quality requirements.
- Apply manufacturing methods with minimum supervision.
- Analyze manufacturing equipment or tooling problems to implement solutions efficiently and economically.
- Support manufacturing engineering responsibilities, including methods, tool and fixture design, budget and cost analysis.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Ability to methodize parts with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques.
- Design and overview of tool and fixturing requirements for manufacturing components.
- Basic knowledge of raw materials and related machinability.
- Ability to define applicable feeds‑speeds combinations for established manufacturing processes.
- Ability to generate CAD drawings.
- Knowledge of computer‑controlled machine tools.
- Mental capacity to comprehend information provided daily and make own decisions.
- Five (5) years minimum experience performing manufacturing engineering responsibilities, inclusive of manufacturing methods, tool and fixture design, and budget and cost analysis.
- Associate Degree minimum in Manufacturing/Mechanical Technology or equivalent related field or a commensurate level of related experience.
- Working knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM software version 8.xx or greater.
