Job OverviewMoog is a worldwide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. This role is responsible for quality control of vendor supplied parts and outside processing operations, ensuring compliance with FAA safety regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities- Inspect vendor supplied parts and outside processing operations, performing dimensional inspection of pieces, review of Certificate of Conformance, compliance to written instructions and procedures, and verification of special process parameters.
- Apply broad knowledge of systems and procedures to address quality issues and may provide guidance to other employees.
- Use a wide variety of gauges and sophisticated measuring equipment to inspect precision vendor machined parts for conformance to blueprint.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in the operation of precision machines where a variety of inspection techniques and gauging are required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Basic knowledge of administrative/clerical support services and activities.
- Employee enrollment & participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required.
- Access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
