Location: Setauket
Do you enjoy organizing parts, preparing materials, and helping production start the next day ready to go? We are hiring a 2nd Shift Kitter / Production Prepper for an electronics manufacturing opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who likes inventory, picking parts, matching numbers, and setting up assembly teams for success.
In this role, you will pick, pull, count, label, and prepare parts, components, and materials for 1st shift assembly. You will review work orders and pick lists, match part numbers and quantities, organize kits by job or production priority, stage completed kits, replenish stock areas, and report any missing, damaged, incorrect, or low‑stock materials.
Candidates should be comfortable handling small parts, electronic components, inventory, stockroom duties, material preparation, and basic computer or scanner use. Picking, kitting, inventory, warehouse, stockroom, or production prep experience is preferred.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

- Pick, pull, and prepare parts, components, and materials for 1st shift assembly
- Review work orders, pick lists, production schedules, and material requirements
- Match part numbers, quantities, labels, and descriptions for accuracy
- Kit materials and organize them by job, order, assembly, or production priority
- Stage completed kits in the correct location for the assembly team
- Count, verify, package, and label small parts and electronic components
- Check for missing, incorrect, damaged, or low-stock materials and report issues
- Replenish stockroom, production shelves, bins, and work areas as needed
- Use scanners, computers, ERP systems, or inventory logs to update material movement
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and stockroom organization
- Keep parts separated, organized, and protected from damage or mix-ups
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized prep, stockroom, and staging area
- Follow all company procedures, safety rules, and material handling requirements
- Working up to 5 hours of overtime per week
