Job OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Inspector to join a growing precision manufacturing team in East Aurora, NY. This position is ideal for individuals with experience inspecting precision‑machined components and working within a manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.

Responsibilities- Inspect machined components at inspection and machining stations and document findings.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Perform first‑piece inspections and First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Conduct in‑process inspections, audits, and final inspections.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Comparators
- Vision systems
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, concentricity, squareness, parallelism, surface finish, burrs, and cosmetic defects.
- Perform visual inspections using microscopes.
- Accurately record inspection results and non‑conformance documentation.
- Partner with machinists and production personnel to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience performing first‑piece inspections.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
- Multi‑axis machining experience is a plus.
- Root cause analysis experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of CMM programming and PC‑DMIS is a plus.
- CNC machining experience is highly valued and may transition well into this role.

- $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
