Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm
Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a manufacturing team specializing in precision optical products in Hopewell Junction, NY. This role is responsible for ensuring that materials and finished products meet strict quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail who is interested in quality control, inspection, or technical manufacturing processes.
Quality Inspector Responsibilities- Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to verify quality and compliance
- Follow inspection procedures and document results for traceability and audits
- Perform basic testing and measurements to ensure products meet specifications
- Identify defects or inconsistencies and report findings to quality or production teams
- Assist with packing and final inspections prior to shipment
- Provide feedback on supplier quality and support vendor-related improvements
- Analyze inspection results and participate in corrective action efforts when needed
- Maintain accurate records using computer systems and manual logs
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives across departments
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in a technical or science field preferred
- Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or technical environments is a plus (not required)
- Ability to read and interpret basic specifications and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Experience using measuring tools or inspection equipment is a plus
- Work takes place in a quality control lab and manufacturing setting
- Regular standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs)
- Interaction with production floor and inspection areas
- Requires focus, precision, and ability to meet deadlines
