Production Manager
Role + Purpose
In this role as a Production Manager, you will lead denim product development and production from concept to delivery for the J.Crew and J.Crew Factory brands. This role drives cross‑functional collaboration, vendor relationships, and team development while ensuring product excellence and timeline adherence. You’ll oversee all production functions, mentor a direct report, and serve as the strategic bridge between design vision and manufacturing execution.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of 1‑2 production associates through mentoring, training, and performance management
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners in detailed production and time/action meetings to ensure seamless project execution
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiations, including costing discussions and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Provide innovative solutions for production challenges by monitoring procedures, testing protocols, and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with corporate production calendars and oversee all PLM cost sheet management
- Coordinate fit sessions to ensure proper measurements and sample corrections while maintaining delivery timelines
- Communicate technical construction details with internal teams and overseas manufacturing partners
- 5‑8 years of production experience in fashion, apparel, or related manufacturing field
- Expertise in denim development, including wet + dry processing and garment construction
- Deep understanding of indigo textiles
- Experience in garment costing, manufacturing processes, and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PLM systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and team management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and action calendars and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with international sourcing and overseas manufacturing partnerships
- Background in fit processes and garment construction is a plus, but not required

Salary Range: $86,400.00 – $
