Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Plant Manager in Queens, NY! This position provides leadership across critical manufacturing functions to ensure operational excellence, timely delivery, cost discipline, and customer satisfaction. The role partners with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to advance organizational growth and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all daily manufacturing operations across multiple machining and processing areas, including precision machining, finishing, inspection, and related production activities.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and on‑time delivery commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, and overall throughput.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with broader organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics, including delivery performance, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, scrap, rework, and inventory performance.
  • Direct production planning and scheduling activities to effectively meet customer demand and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional workflow across internal production stages and external processing partners.
  • Optimize staffing and labor utilization across all shifts to support production requirements.
  • Lead capacity planning efforts and implement initiatives to alleviate bottlenecks and constraints.
  • Establish and adjust production priorities to respond to changing demands and expedite critical orders.
  • Partner with quality leadership to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Support ongoing quality certifications and ensure adherence to relevant compliance frameworks as required.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality issues, scrap, and customer concerns.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve margins and reduce waste across operations.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses, including overtime, material waste, tooling, and consumables.
  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing leaders and team members to enhance performance and capability.
  • Promote a collaborative, high‑performance work environment focused on teamwork and results.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans to support employee growth.
  • Enforce workplace safety, training initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years manufacturing leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of CNC operations and ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven ability to lead large manufacturing teams
