Moog is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things. The Lathe Machinist I position is an entry‑level machining role on the 3rd shift in our Buffalo facility.

• Perform set‑ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Inspect all work performed, set up or adjust gaging equipment, detect unusual conditions and deviant parts, and recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets when needed.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

• At least 1 year experience as a general machinist; CNC lathe experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow an escalation path as it applies to machining.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment such as micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
• Enrollment and participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is required.
• Ability to work within strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.).
• Access to U.S. export‑controlled information.

Buffalo, NY: $22.00–$27.00 per hour. Salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range is one component of Moog’s total compensation package; other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
