Description

As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. Seafood Cutters are tasked with the job of processing whole fish and raw materials into filets, portions, and finished goods. Tasks included but are not limited to: carrying heavy volumes of product, working in a refrigerated and wet environment, being able to distinguish, organize, and sort different varieties of fish, fileting multiple species of fish, and the final fabrication of seafood to the customer’s desired spec.

• Prepare fish and other seafood products by cutting, filleting, and portioning.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of products.
• Process seafood into portions within a specific variance.
• Be able to distinguish multiple different types of seafood.

• Must have at least 1 year – 2 years of recent fish processing experience.
• Must be able to work 8+ hours per day, 6 days a week in a refrigerated environment.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
• Requires repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs and back.
• Must be an expert in the handling of knives and other sharp tools.
• Must be able to sharpen and hone knives and maintain equipment.
• Prompt and regular attendance is required.
