Production Lead Assistant

Responsibilities include directing subordinate personnel in the task of inspection, assembly, or packaging of parts when the Lead is unavailable, ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement within area of expertise, completing and maintaining all required safety classes, trainings, and certifications, being aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives, working their regularly scheduled shift;

ability to work overtime & weekends, complying with related IATF/ISO procedures, supporting the Lead in ensuring that all subordinates' work is performed in accordance with specific Work Instructions, Production Work Orders, and/or additional instructional manuals/reference documents, utilizing the computer to access/print supporting documentation and for production inquiries when required, coordinating that non-conforming components are removed from department as needed, helping enforce the use of personal protective equipment/safety procedures regarding co-workers' daily operation, assisting in the training and educating of coworkers, using department email to communicate with other departments in accordance with department needs, developing and monitoring departmental metrics to ensure production and production efficiency, addressing any quality issues that are generated in the AOR, performing production duties as needed, communicating production concerns, equipment issues, material shortages, and quality concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner, supporting shift handoff activities by communicating production status, priorities, and unresolved issues to incoming personnel, and promoting a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership by example, and employee engagement.

Education/skill requirements include ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally, high school diploma or General education degree (GED), associate's degree in a related field preferred, minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred, previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience required, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to utilize computer systems to access production data, reports, work instructions, and other supporting documentation.

Physical demands & work environment:
Position requires individual to be capable of traveling & working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level is usually moderate.
