Position: 2nd Shift Packaging Technician (Machine Operator)

Position

Summary

The Packaging Technician plays a key role in our production team by safely operating and monitoring packaging equipment to deliver high‑quality adjustments, perform quality checks, and work closely with production, maintenance, and quality partners to keep operations running smoothly.
Second shift role – Monday‑Friday from 3:30 pm to midnight. One year of machine operator experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and monitor packaging equipment, making necessary adjustments to meet production targets.
  • Perform quality checks and complete required production and quality records.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment and meeting food safety standards.
  • Follow workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership and report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 750‑pound bins on casters.
  • Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during the shift.

Salary

Annual base salary range: $20 – $22 per hour.
