Manufacturing Engineer

Join our Raymond Team as a Manufacturing Engineer!

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Manufacturing Engineer who brings enthusiasm, energy and a technical mindset to the table with a focus on welding manufacturing processes. In this role, you'll support Manufacturing Engineering functions including current process optimization, introduction of new technology into welding manufacturing operations leveraging automation, robotics, and AI tools, continually improving safety, quality, and productivity, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and develop manufacturing line designs aligned with the long-term factory vision, including manual and automated systems and material flow, with an emphasis on welding operations.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, particularly for welding, to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
  • Implement and validate new welding processes, including tooling, manual operations, and automated robotic solutions.
  • Collaborate with automation and robotic system integrators to drive successful implementation of manufacturing solutions.
  • Apply welding principles and automation knowledge to solve current challenges and incorporate solutions into new processes.
  • Perform make-versus-buy analysis for welding processes.
  • Identify and develop business cases to justify manufacturing and factory transformation initiatives.
  • Improve production processes by driving efficiency to best utilize company resources.
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement activities within manufacturing to help our Associates work safely while increasing the quality of our products.
  • Engage with stakeholders throughout manufacturing to increase the productivity of operations to deliver Toyota's customer the best value.
  • Support organizational initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations while supporting the community within which we live.
  • Develop process controls and standardization to deliver best in class results for our customers, both internal and external.
  • Have applicable knowledge of lean manufacturing practices within the Toyota Production System to improve material flow and inventory levels, reducing lead-times and improving safety.
  • Strive to become the technical expert for the assigned support area and proactively identify and improve issues before problems occur.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. Welding, Mechatronics or Automation engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization to advance your goals.
  • Understanding of Toyota Lean Principles and how to implement them.
  • Ability to analyze layouts and design fixtures and tooling using Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or Catia.
  • Strong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands-on.
  • Strong work ethic, intrinsically motivated, ability to organize work and execute concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and process improvement.
  • Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format.

What Sets You Apart:

  • MIG Welding knowledge, fundamentals and hand-on experience.
  • Some experience supporting in industrial automation projects.
  • Exposure to automation and robotics simulation software.
  • CREO Parametric experience.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like:

Salary - $65,440 - $106,845 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
