Lineman / Press Operator

The Lineman / Press Operator is responsible for assisting in material processing operations within a carbon and graphite manufacturing environment. This position supports production by preparing materials, operating processing equipment, and maintaining safe and efficient workflow throughout the production process. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely handle equipment and materials.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Assist in various material processing operations throughout the production department.
• Load and unload processing equipment with raw materials and finished products.
• Assist with the operation of presses and other production equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Operate furnaces used to melt metal, including monitoring temperature and material composition to ensure proper processing conditions.
• Prepare materials for processing and assist with completion of final production stages.
• Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of processing equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain work areas by performing general housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and facilities.
• Restock production and maintenance materials as needed to support operational efficiency.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or production problems to supervisors promptly.
• Support team members and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and production output.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment that may include heat, dust, and noise.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or press operation experience is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment safely.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Manufacturing. Wearing protective gear PPE, Fast paced. This position operates in a manufacturing facility specializing in carbon and graphite products. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated temperatures, and industrial equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
